Welcome to The Carpenters Arms
Set in the pretty hamlet of Felixkirk, this 18th century inn is a mere skip from the market town of Thirsk, where the much-loved writer and vet James Herriott once practised. The inn has been in the capable hands of mother and daughter team Linda and Karen Bumby since 2000, and very welcoming they have made it too.
Whether you are looking for lovely meal or maybe a thirst quenching drink, or just in need of a good old sit down and chat, you will find the carpenters arm the perfect answer.
Winners of the Yorkshire life's dining pub of the year 2001-2002, Karen, Linda and the team have kept up the standard acheiving, pick of the pubs with the AA guide from 2002 till present, and appearing in the good pub guides repeatedly, with a seafood influence gaining a seafood recognition in the guides also.
